Let’s get one thing straight: hope feels good. But if it’s your only plan? It will keep you spinning your wheels.

In this raw and powerful birthday episode, I’m sharing a truth that too many ambitious women need to hear: hope is not a success strategy. And it’s definitely not what brings your boldest goals to life.

Why Hope Feels Safe (But Isn’t)

Hope gives us something to cling to when the path isn’t clear. It cushions our fear. It lets us believe that maybe, just maybe, things will work out.

But here’s the truth:

  • Hope doesn’t take action.
  • Hope doesn’t put offers into the world.
  • Hope doesn’t have hard conversations or share the uncomfortable truth.

Hope feels safer because it lets us stay in our comfort zone. But unfortunately that’s not where your success lives.

What Happens When You Hope Too Long

I recently received an email from someone who wanted help creating $5,000 months in her business. When I invited her to connect, her response was, “Hoping to make things work.”

My heart broke a little.

Because I know that place. And I also know that staying in hope is what keeps you from claiming your power and taking the steps you actually need to take.

We hope instead of act. We wish instead of work. We pray for ease instead of creating it. But change doesn’t happen because you want it. It happens because you choose it.

What to Embrace Instead

Momentum doesn’t come from hoping harder.

It comes from:

  • A success strategy built for aligned action (not just “busy” work)
  • Personal responsibility and clarity
  • Asking: What can I do today with what I have to move forward?

That question is a portal. It reclaims your power. And it ignites actual change.

From Hope to Embodiment: My Tattoo Story

In 2013, I almost got the Italian word for hope (“la speranza”) tattooed on my body. But the morning of the appointment, I woke up with a deep knowing:

I didn’t want to hope anymore. I wanted to embody.

So instead, I got “La Regina” tattooed on me. The Queen.

Because a queen doesn’t hope. She leads. She chooses. She acts.

Hope + Action = Power

This isn’t a call to abandon hope entirely. It has its place. But it cannot be your success strategy.

Pair it with daily action. Back it with belief. Move from passivity to momentum.

On my 42nd birthday, this is the gift I want to offer you:

You don’t have to hope your way to your goals. You can create them.

You are more powerful than the world has ever told you.

Let today be the day you act like it.
